We are mourning the tragic death of our Country director Sudan - Condolence Book

Dear friends of humedica, it is with great sadness that I have to inform you today of the passing of our Country Director for Sudan, Nyabuga Polycarp Onsongo, who died in a car accident last Friday in Khartoum.

Polycarp was an incredible man who I was honored to call friend and brother in Christ. After serving with us as Coordinator for our Kass Health Project since January 2008 and Deputy CD from July 2008, Polycarp was appointed humedica-Sudan Country Director just on April 1st of this year.

Polycarp had helped our team there achieve remarkable success in a short period of time.

His passing comes just a few weeks before he was invited to celebrate with us our 30th anniversary here at the humedica-headquarters in Germany, where he was most excited to present our Darfur programme to friends and colleagues of our world wide organization.

Our prayers and our deepest sympathy go to Polycarp's wife Agnes, their two minor children and all family members at this time of great loss.

God bless you, my dear brother Polycarp, the world is a better place for you having been a part of it. We will be together again in the future, but until then we will continue forward doing the work that you worked so hard to help us serving thousands of IDPs in South Darfur.
